Neighbourhood Watch
The community pledges against non-violence and can reach out to a team of influencers for help. The neighbourhood watch team will be trained on IPV, and they will be responsible for onward sharing of IPV messages to the community members through WhatsApp and conducting IPC sessions with perpetrators. In addition, they will refer community members to get help on IPV related issues through an anonymous hotline.
The neighbourhood watchers training content, will like the first intervention, also address men’s knowledge gap on conflict resolution. It also hinges on the insight around men being motivated to stop IPV, based on what they stand to lose. Their desire to maintain an upstanding in the community will be linked to being a man who shuns IPV at home and in the community.
